Thank you for your interest in participating in our ANNUAL EXPRESSIVE ARTS RUNWAY SHOW for women healing from cancer. We have provided an overview of the program and expected volunteer time commitment. No modeling or artistic experience is required to participate.<\/span><\/em> After reviewing the information, if would like to participate as a model, please complete the MODEL PARTICIPATION SIGNUP FORM<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 You are a woman diagnosed with any form of cancer at any time during your lifetime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 You live in the local area where we host the Runway Show or willing to travel to participate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 You are able and willing to participate in the 7-Week Expressive Arts Program Virtual + In-Personal Rehearsals<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 You agree to work with our runway team to create\/select fashion expressions from your personal wardrobe to use during the Runway Show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 You agree to attend ALL Runway Rehearsals + The Runway Show<\/p>\n\n\n\n The rehearsals are combined with our Expressive Arts (EXA) process, which is seven-weekly virtual group meetings, for approx. 2.5 hours each week. Due to the design of the program, we accommodate up to 10 participants for each group. The group participants (models), as a whole, decide on the three emergent themes to explore during the 7-weeks together. Each week, models are encouraged to journal and reflect on these themes by using the expressive arts, which includes dance\/movement, drama, music, poetry and visual arts. Each model may decide to share these reflections, in whole or in part, during the Expressive Arts Runway Show \u2013 a time will be arranged to record each person\u2019s reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are taking on a new way to think about wardrobe fashion as an expression of ourselves. Runway models have a chance to think about their personal wardrobes during the program. We have Alumni Runway models offering to support our current participants in selecting outfits for each theme. The Expressive Arts Program includes 5 seminars for models to deepen their understanding about their current wardrobe choices. Each model is offered an opportunity to work with our runway team during a 1-1 zoom meeting to review selections and coordinate the wardrobes for each scene. Given the reality of expenses, we ask Runway participants to help raise awareness of Empower.Me Strong! by sharing with their family, friends and colleagues to encourage sponsorships.
